「オブジェクト・シアター」は、振付家・好光義也の作品におけるものとのロマンチックな戯れを通して、あらゆる存在と触れ合うための抱擁の感覚を探求します。好光のパフォーマーとしてのマルチな技能（演技、人形劇、歌唱など）を用いた新作映像、ものや物語と観客の間に自身の身体を介入させるパフォーマンス、セノグラフィーを紹介します。

「オブジェクト・シアター」とは、人形の代わりに日用品や抽象的なオブジェを用いる現代的な人形劇の一ジャンルであり、ものと身体の関わりに興味を持ちながら活動する振付家・好光義也が、近年自身の制作に取り入れている考え方でもある。好光の芸術活動は、人がいない間も存在するもの、人類がいない時代、そしていなくなっても存在し続けるものへの興味・関心から論じられている思弁的実在論、現代的な唯物論から影響を受けている。好光は、私たち人間が認識しなくても、触ったり見たりしなくても、そこにものは存在し続けるという考え方を支持し、人がいなくても、そこに居続けるものに思いを馳せる。本展では、好光の作品におけるものとのロマンチックな戯れを通して、あらゆる存在と触れ合うための抱擁の感覚を探る。好光のパフォーマーとしてのマルチな技能（演技、人形劇、歌唱など）を用いた新作映像、ものや物語と観客の間に自身の身体を介入させるパフォーマンス、セノグラフィーを紹介する。

We are pleased to announce the exhibition “Object Theatre: Yoshiya Yoshimitsu” at The 5th Floor from June 16 to 30.
“Object Theatre” explores the sense of embrace to touch all beings through the romantic play with objects in choreographer Yoshiya Yoshimitsu's works. Yoshiya will present new videos using his multiple skills as a performer (acting, puppetry, singing, etc.) and performance, scenography in which he intervenes with his own body between objects, stories, and the audience.

"Object Theater" is a genre of contemporary puppetry that uses everyday objects and abstract objects (such as cubes and spheres) in place of puppets, and is a concept that Yoshiya Yoshimitsu, a choreographer who is interested in the relationship between objects and the body, has been incorporating into his work in recent years. Yoshimitsu's artistic practice is influenced by speculative realism and contemporary materialism, which are discussed based on his interest in things that exist in the absence of people, in the absence of humanity, and in things that continue to exist even after we are gone. Yoshimitsu supports the idea that things continue to exist even when we humans do not perceive, touch, or see them, and he contemplates things that continue to be there even when people are not around. This exhibition explores the sense of embrace to be in touch with all beings through Yoshimitsu's romantic play with things in his works. Yoshimitsu will present a new video works that uses his multiple skills as a performer (acting, puppetry, singing, etc.), performance/scenography, in which the artist intervenes with his own body between the object or story and the audience.
